Knovel is an online information searching and problem solving tool from Elsevier for engineering, scientific and technical disciplines, providing instant access to reference works, textbooks, conference proceedings and data from over 120 different publishers, institutes and societies worldwide.

Geofacets is an online tool designed to provide instant access to over 400,000 geological maps through an interactive geographical interface, keyword searching or geographical metadata searching, to support teaching and research in geology, earth sciences, petroleum geology, GIS and geography.

19th Century British Newspapers

The 19th Century British Newspapers collection contains full runs of 48 newspapers specially selected by the British Library to best represent nineteenth century Britain. This new collection includes national and regional newspapers, as well as those from both established country or university towns and the new industrial powerhouses of the manufacturing Midlands, as well as Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Special attention was paid to include newspapers that helped lead particular political or social movements such as Reform, Chartism, and Home Rule. The penny papers aimed at the working and clerical classes are also present in the collection.

The Joanna Briggs Institute EBP Database

The database allows you to search simultaneously, a wide range of summarized and appraised evidence, to inform your practice. This comprehensive range of resources includes over 3,000 records across seven publication types: Evidence Based Recommended Practices, Evidence Summaries, Best Practice Information Sheets, Systematic Reviews, Consumer Information Sheets, Systematic Review Protocols, and Technical Reports.

Subject Area Nodes: Evidence organized into health care area/specialties. Only information specific to that health topic is included in each database.


19th Century U.S. Newspapers

This archive provides access to primary source newspaper content from the 19th century, featuring full-text content and images from numerous newspapers from a range of urban and rural regions throughout the U.S. The collection encompasses the entire 19th century, with an emphasis on such topics as the American Civil War, African-American culture and history, Western migration and Antebellum-era life, among other subjects.

Bates' Visual Guide to Physical Examination

Now in its Fifth Edition and featuring completely reshot content and new clinical skills videos, Bates’ Visual Guide delivers head-to-toe and systems-based physical examination techniques for the (Advanced) Assessment or Introduction to Clinical Medicine course. The site features more than 8 hours of video content.


China Local Gazetters (post 1949)

The China Local Gazetteers database is a collection of Chinese local gazetteers published after 1949, covering provinces, cities, counties and townships of all regions of China. The local gazetteers provide information on economy, public finance, governance, public security, urban and rural development, agriculture, industry, transportation, business, natural science, social science, education, culture, sport and public health. As of December 2014, there were over 27,678 volumes included in this database. More titles are added annually.
