At Lund University, all students have a home library – in most cases the library that is closest connected to their subject. The home library is also called the subject library.
At some libraries you can borrow course literature, whereas other libraries only hold reference copies to be read at the library.
Course literature can include books and scientific articles in printed or electronic form. Search the library catalogue Lovisa or LUBsearch, the LUB search assistance for electronic resources.
Many departments use My Course Library to present and provide easy access to course literature.
Lund University provides a number of electronic services and resources to facilitate your work as a student. Your StiL identity is your personal key to Lund University.
If you have lost your StiL address, please contact support to be issued a new one.
Anyone who has a Swedish ID number, is residing in Sweden and is over the age of 18, can be issued a library card on a personal visit to one of the LUB libraries. Valid photo-ID must be shown.
Library card number and PIN code
You will find the library card number (14 digits) on the back of your library card. Use the library card number when you wish to request or place a hold on items in the library catalogue Lovisa. If you wish to renew your loans, you log into Lovisa under Your Loans. Use your library card number and your ID number (10 digits, no hyphen), which will serve as your PIN code.
