ERC mandates the public availability of research results.
The demand includes/covers: peer-reviewed publications.
Allowed embargo: publications must be archived when published and freely accessible no later than six months after publishing.
How to make your article freely available: Self-archiving: deposit a copy of the article in LUP or in a diciplinary research repository (arXiv, PubMed Central…). Approximately 50 % of publishers registered in the SHERPA/RoMEO database
allow self-archiving. Usually publishers permit authors to deposit their finalt manuscript, approved and corrected, in a repository.
Publication fees: research grants from ERC can cover:”Publication Costs (page charges, open access charges and related fees)”.
