Bibliographic databases

When you are looking for scientific articles the best place to search is the large international bibliographic databases. Searching both Inspec and Science Citation Index (Web of Science) gives a relatively exhaustive search of published, scientific articles on Physics since 1969.

Some of the most important and frequently used databases are:

Reference Sources

Reference resources are mostly used to look for facts, tables, statistics etc. as opposed to "ordinary" books which you read from cover to cover. Many reference resources are avaible in e-format, and the printed ones you find on the shelf called REF...
