Studying at University or at University College means being able to search for and handle relevant information. Basic undergraduate studies shall give the students the ability to perform independent and critical assessments, but also the ability to independently perceive, formulate and solve problems. Within the specific field of education, the students shall, in addition to knowledge and skills, also develop the ability to search and value knowledge on a scientific level, and be able to follow the knowledge development. General guidance

Basic IL (former Illern) – A short introduction with texts and exercises on searching and handling information. The emphasis lies on principles and work methods rather than on going through databases etc. Developed by Lund University Libraries, Head Office.

Library catalogues is a short guidance to searching library catalogues, especially Lovisa and LIBRIS. A brief information on interlibrary loans, put together by the University Library in Lund (UB).
