Your loans

You can renew your loans yourself in the library catalogue LOVISA by logging in to Your Loans. It is not possible to renew a loan for a book if someone else has reserved it, or if the loan period has expired.

When can I renew a loan for a book, and how many times?

Which loans you can renew and how many times you can renew them varies. Please look at the libraries’ web sites for more detailed information.

• Loans for course books can often be renewed 10 times if no one has put a hold on them.
• Other books must often be brought back to the library for the loan to be renewed.

Renew you loans in Lovisa

1. Log in using your library card number and ID number in Lovisa, under Your loans.
2. Mark the items that you wish to renew, and click the Renew checked items button.
3. Make sure that the loan could be renewed, and that you received a new due date for the return of the items.
4. Click on the “Logout" button when you are done.

Please, check carefully that your loan could be renewed and that you received a new due date for the return of the items, since it is possible to mark items that you cannot renew your loans on yourself, but must bring to the library.
