If the book is available, you can often collect it yourself in the open collection. Search the library catalogue Lovisa to find information on where the book is located.
Books and journals that are placed in stacks or in storage must be requested through Lovisa before they can be collected. These books are marked with the text “Must be requested" in Lovisa. If the book that you have found in Lovisa is on loan, you can reserve it by clicking the Request button and then submit your library card number. At the top of the list of copies, Unsatisfied requests indicates the number of users that have already placed a hold on the book. When the book is available for you to collect, you will receive notification through e-mail where you will find last date for collecting the item. Please note that notifications will be sent only if you have registered an e-mail address in Lovisa.
Transport of books between the LUB-libraries takes about 1-2 working days. Please note that it is not possible to request available books from open collections and choose the owning library as pickup location. Also, it is not possible to request available course books, journals, material marked with the borrowing status In-house-use, older material from the University library’s collection, and books from the Music Library and Art Academy Library in Malmö.
When the book is available to pick up a notification will be sent to you by email. Requested books must be picked up within 7 days after they have arrived at the pickup location.
Books can be returned at any LUB library. If the books are not returned or the loan renewed before the loan period expires, the library will charge an overdue fee of 10 SEK per book and day for course books.
