The division for learning support is responsible for issues that concern the libraries’ role in relation to education. Much of our work is carried out in the form of projects.
We are responsible for activities in connection to the university’s accessibility plan 2009-2010, stating that all university activities must be accessible to all students. As part of this work, we participate in the project Student direkt that aims to find ways for students with disabilities to download talking books without having to involve the library. Another project in this field is ALI – archive for locally produced narrations, a national archive that assembles talking books produced locally at Swedish universities and university colleges. Both these projects will be completed during spring 2009.
During 2008 we also run a project in collaboration with CED that involves finding solutions for integrating central university services such as systems for course administration and library resources with learning platforms, course materials and social media.
Other examples of our activities include participation in the preparatory work for Högskoleverkets quality audit 2009 as well as the benchmarking project e-xcellence+.
